Pharos Navigator® or PharosN is a cutting-edge IoT and AI-driven information technology that makes possible to make and run virtual models of complex cyber-physical systems of large scale real world systems. Digital twin is user friendly model of some target cyber-physical system that needs to be monitored, analysed and controlled. As such systems are now linked to both physical and virtual worlds, the model represents both of them. Users can see the model in special widgets and reports as a hierarchy of nodes representing the objects that exist in these worlds that is easily understandable and typical for the concrete application. For example the model of the enterprise is similar to its organisational or business structure, the model of the city consists of districts, areas, streets, buildings, rooms in the buildings, etc. The model is stored in the complex database structure and large number software components. While running the digital twin gets real time data streams from the objects existing in the both worlds and transforms them into various information services for users such as monitoring and analytics, as well as optional controls aimed to keep big system operation sustainable and efficient. The digital twin can interact with other systems by API and with the users by multimodal devices e.g. mobiles, tablets, screens, gadgets, AR|VR, etc.
The custom applications developed and running on high level IoT ICT platform PharosN can be linked to diverse automation and information systems and stacks of IoT collecting and processing massive data streams. The novel PharosN technology can support presentation of wide range of processes and objects by realising various fundamental scientific and engineering concepts that allow making abstract virtual models of cyber-physical systems, which link physical and virtual worlds accessing diverse data sources existing in the both worlds. Depending on the model size and complexity related to the real world application, the number of data streams to be transformed in real time using AI-methods, controls realised and number of the users assisted in real time monitoring, management and operational controls (e.g. citizens in a Smart City Monitor application), the model can run being embedded into different computing devices from singleboard microcomputer to high performance super computers. The underlying methods and algorithms of the PharosN platform are based on solid system science foundation and implemented with the latest open source software components in the system architecture. As result the abstract open models of cyber-physical systems always represent actual complex applications, its structures and operations, open to change with high level model builder tools in wide range of areas.
